Walmart also has a sun dried tomato turkey in the deli which makes a yummy g.c. sandwich!Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09327853756206724940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30986975.post-1160072650009461302006-10-05T13:24:00.000-05:002006-10-05T13:24:00.000-05:00Ummm... If you didn't want to use good ol' American cheese slices, you should have gone with some provolone or colby jack cheese. That would be yummy!Jenn-Jenn, the Mother Henhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01850119465505660438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30986975.post-1160007839998228632006-10-04T19:23:00.000-05:002006-10-04T19:23:00.000-05:00After this great post, I tried making myself a gri...After this great post, I tried making myself a grilled cheese sandwich. I burped not exactly prime Swiss cheese all afternoon. Not good. Won't do it again any time soon.Toozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11495892080894540783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30986975.post-1159709572618811502006-10-01T08:32:00.000-05:002006-10-01T08:32:00.000-05:00I love grilled cheese sandwiches, too. As well as I can remember, though, I think I liked the one at Fava's.annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13621915642420308973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30986975.post-1159542046009220542006-09-29T10:00:00.000-05:002006-09-29T10:00:00.000-05:00To my knowledge, Everett doesn't eat tomato soup e...To my knowledge, Everett doesn't eat tomato soup either. On to the real subject of the post, grilled cheese sandwiches. Lydia loves them and even ordered one at Steak and Shake the other night. Now you would think that a restaurant that makes excellent "melts" would know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Yes, the bread was grilled, but the two slices of American cheese were not even melted. And they forgot two of my favorite tricks--spread the bread with Miracle Whip or other salad dressing of your choice (learned that from David), and mash that sucker flat. That's one way to be sure you get the cheese realllllllly melted.Toozhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11495892080894540783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30986975.post-1159398365483436492006-09-27T18:06:00.000-05:002006-09-27T18:06:00.000-05:00Talk about your comfort food! I asked her to make me a grilled cheese sandwich! Even though she used shredded cheese instead of sliced, it was still pretty good!Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09327853756206724940noreply@blogger.com
