My first post isn't a recipe!

Instead, my first post is a request!

What would you do if you had a big ol' box of delicious fresh blueberries (because they're coming in ripe from Michigan) and a big ol' bag of limes (because it was only a dollar at the fruit stand)? Blueberry-lime sorbet? Blueberry limeade? Lime cheesecake with blueberries on top?

Blueberry lime sorbet sounds pretty good, but I'd probably make a blueberry cobbler and limeade.

Lime cheesecake with blueberries on top sounds yummy!!!!! Blueberry cobbler sounds good. Another thing you could do is a search on one of the recipe sites I added as links on here. You can search my ingredients on some of them (like BHG i think). Epicurious has more of the funky trendy recipes, so you may find some stuff on there, too. But cheesecake still has my vote! God was working overtime when he made cheesecake. And it was good.

You COULD freeze the blueberries--my friend Joan does that, in single servings, and then she takes a serving to Cracker Barrel with her and puts them in her oatmeal. Only Joan. I vote for the cheesecake with blueberries on top, though, because I love cheesecake, just like my daughter Jennifer.

Why am I do ick?

not "my" ingredients. "BY" ingredients. Sorry bout that!

And Tooz, ??? I don't get it. "Why am I do ick"? Is that a reference to me being ill the other day? I feel MUCH better today. Jamie's coming home!

Love you all! Wish I could magically transport me and Jamie up to TN to see ya'll!

Or you could make blueberry smoothies with a lime twist. Blueberry and lime ice cream. You could always make a blueberry and lime salsa.

i'm liking the cheesecake idea more and more.

and tooz, i'm freezing plenty of blueberries, too, as much as i've got room in my freezer for! it's just that i like them fresh while they're in season.

I'm with Ann. I'd make cobbler and limeade (one reason Sonic is a regular stop).

You could also use it as a glaze for ham or pork tenderloin. Maybe combine it with applesauce for chops?

why am I do ick was my word password. Close enough to a sentence, don't you think? Right now it's "UTSYO". Like Uts yo thing, do whatcha wanna do--I won't tell you who to sock it to.

i do not eat pork. i'm mostly vegetarian (now that i'm a breastfeeding mom and my kid is an eating machine, i eat meat every so often now), but pork is out of the question.

now it's about 90 degrees in madison, so i'm thinking more and more about a sorbet, if i can find instructions. if it turns out, i'll post the recipe!

I'm thinking lots of blueberry pancakes, and gin and tonics!
